Who Needs DIN?
- Proposed directors of Pvt Ltd, Public Company, OPC
- Foreign nationals as directors of Indian companies
- LLP designated partners need DPIN, not DIN
How to Apply
- Applied as part of company incorporation via SPICe+ form
- For existing companies adding new director, file Form DIR-3
- Submit PAN, Aadhaar, photo and identity proof
- DIN allotted within 1 working day
Annual DIN KYC -- DIR-3 KYC
- File annually by September 30
- Update mobile number and email via OTP
- Late filing fee: Rs.5,000 after September 30
- DIN deactivated if KYC not done
DIN Surrender
File Form DIR-5. Must not be a director of any active company at time of surrender.
